We’ve all listened to children telling us of the toys they want; of adults wishing they had a newer car or bigger house. But how many of us have heard the plea of a family, living in dire poverty or under circumstances beyond their immediate control in need of the basic supplies of life?
Millions of families throughout the world and yes, even here in our own country, haven’t the access to essential supplies for everyday life through no fault of their own.
Mercy Airlift has developed “Mercy Kits” which meet the basic needs of families of all ages and sizes that are left with nothing, and have no one to turn to. The kits are distributed free of harge to disaster victims, orphanages, people living on the fringe of live, and those throughout the world who have lost all hope and suffer in abject poverty all the time.
Mercy Kits light a spark of hope in people we serve in on-going programs, and victims of disasters when literally everything has been lost.
Kit ingredients are purchased and then packaged by volunteers, social clubs, service organizations, schools and churches. Next, they are then collected for sorting in our facilities, and distributed to the needy. Thousands of them may be shipped to poverty stricken countries recovering from a major disaster, others shipped to remote villages areas of different countries, and others to pockets of poverty right here in the U.S.

Cleaning Kits are always needed in the household, but always take a back seat to other needs and supplies. These kits are especially needed after disasters or when a family is living in a remote area and cannot access or secure these items to make their dwelling as clean, safe, and secure as possible. Sewing kits provide and create interdependence rather dependence, and give women the capabilities to make their own clothing and to mend family clothing as needed. In some areas of developing countries, the women even begin to produce small cottage industries, which produce valuable income for their families. This Kit includes:
